Superior 100 has been rolling in my brain for a number of weeks now. To be honest, I would love to write an inspiring reflection full of humor, but it just hasn't come to me. It's an extremely vivid experience that is vague at the same time. Yeah, it was like a 1970's bender.

I'm running my first 100 soon. Any tricks for calculating how many calories you're consuming when eating a variety of foods? How did you know you were eating ~300 calories per hour?

Hi Amy! I have always stuck to simple reminders, eating something every 15 minutes while on the trail (sip of gel, small part of a bar, liquid calories). Basically, whatever works best for you. I've personally found this to supply a very accurate energy level throughout though.
